Learn Thai Phrase | Order Food (1)

Are you hungry? I really am! Let's find something to eat!
In this blog, we will learn Thai phrases how to order food. Let's go!

To order some food, you can use these patterns:

-ขอ /kͻ̌ͻ/ + food (number + classifier)

-เอา /ao/ + food (number + classifier)

The classifier in this case you can mention by the container as below:

ชาม /chaam/ = bowl
ถ้วย /tûay/ = cup
แก้ว /gɛ̂ɛw/ = glass
ขวด /kùat/ = bottle
กล่อง /glͻ̀ͻng/ = box
ห่อ /hͻ̀ͻ/ = pack, package

You can also ask your food in pieces:
ชิ้น /chín/ = piece
อัน /an/ = classifier for something small
ลูก /lûuk/ = scoop, classifier for something round shape or whole fruit

If the food is kind of BBQ with a stick, then Thai people will order by a stick: ไม้
