Learn Thai Vocabulary | Trans Fat ไขมันทรานส์

Recently, The Public Health Ministry ban on trans fat in Thailand. Trans fat or ไขมันทรานส์ /kǎi-man traan/ is normally found in bakery foods or doughnuts that use margarine, non-dairy creamer, condensed milk and shortening as ingredients. For example, cakes, cookies, croissants, pizzas, French fries, doughnuts, fried chicken, etc.

And also drinks that use non-dairy creamer.

Anyway, it doesn’t mean that you cannot eat bakery food any longer as different bakeries have different qualities of their ingredients. You need to focus on the nutrition facts label more than before.

Trans fat is one of the significant reason to cause many diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.

So please be more careful with your food and stay healthy na ka!

There are a few words to say “when” in Thai. Today we will see those words and how they works. 1. เมื่อ /mʉ̂a/ You might see this word in some Thai Learning books saying it means “when”. คือ /kʉʉ/ is another verb to be in Thai. It is interchangeable with “ เป็น /bpen/” in some cases but they are slightly different as we use “ คือ /kʉʉ/” to give “definition” of something or to explain things. When you use คือ /kʉʉ/, it is like A = B, whereas “ เป็น /bpen/” is like a condition at that moment that can change in the future. Pattern: Subject + คือ /kʉʉ/ + definition For example: อันนี้คือทุเรียน คุณรู้จักไหม / an-níi kʉʉ tú-rian. kun rúu-jàk mái?/ = This one is durian.
